Okay, so that 'not eating junk' thing did not happen. I had buffalo chicken fingers, a plate of fries, 2 stewart's root beers, and a gigantic chocolate chip cookie.
I work at an Irish Pub in town. I've worked there since I was 14 and I am proudly the fourth member of my family to work there. My oldest sister Emily started as a waitress and stopped when she got her teaching license, Anna worked there for a bit as a hostess and then she became a nurse, Kate still waitresses occasionally while she is in art school, and I work there 3 times a week as a hostess and server. My little brother Nic will start when he turns 14 in July.
I made $83 in tips tonight, so it was a good night. Anything less than $50 is a bad night, $50-60 is a mediocre night, and $70-80 is a good night. Anything above that is a damn good night.
Tomorrow is my cousin Phoebe's wedding at 4 pm. Of course I don't have anything appropriate to wear. So tomorrow I will hopefully wake up early, get some studying done (the spinal cord injury bit), and then shop for a dress for the wedding. My alarm is set for 8, but it is 1:40 am now (I had to pick up Kate from Princeton after work because she never learned how to drive despite being 21--she flip flops on whether or not she wants to learn... I made her listen to the "Great Speeches" CD I got from Borders the other day. We heard speeches by Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, JFK, Ronald Reagan, and FDR. I think I would prefer to hear speeches and news gathered around a radio than watch it on a television--there is something so meaningful about just concentrating on a person's voice and the content of his words than watching him behind a podium.) Anyway it is almost 2 am, and I reallyreallyreally need to get Spinal Injuries done tomorrow, so I am going to sleep now.
